WLLA Awards

The Distinguished Service Award (Highest Award/one given)  Plaque
Presented to a person who has exemplified, promoted, and supported the WLLA concept and philosophy in the community and the State.  This award is presented to a member of WLLA for outstanding service furthering the work of WLLA and positively impacting lifelong learning in Wyoming.  The recipient must have had at least two years of involvement in WLLA.

The Award of Commendation (one given)  Plaque
This award is to recognize "very special persons" in the field of adult, continuing, and community education.  There are no specific requirements for this award.  The recipient may or may not be a member of WLLA.

The President's Award  Plaque
This award may be given at the discretion of the outgoing President to a person whom he wishes to recognize for their contributions to WLLA and lifelong learning.

The Board Member Service Award  Plaque
This award is presented to all WLLA Board Members who have completed their term of office.

Certificate of Commendation  Certificate (Paper)
This award is granted to recognize special achievements (i.e. - Outstanding Adult Learners, Outstanding Community Service Instructor, Outstanding Adult Educator, and Outstanding ABE/GED/ESL Instructor).   This award is also granted to recognize the Outstanding Adult Learner in each of the seven WLLA regions
 

General Rules and Procedures
Nominations must be made by a WLLA member and submitted by the deadline on the nomination form to be eligible for consideration.

Nominations must be submitted in writing (mail, fax, or e-mail). 

If nominations are not received in one or more categories, no awards will be made in those categories.

Final decisions regarding award winners will be made by the Awards Committee.
